Permanent Immigrant Visa Attorneys
Among the USA immigration services we offer at the law firm of Robinson & Jacobs is guidance in obtaining permanent resident or immigration visas. Because permanent resident visas are generally limited in availability each year, careful planning is required.
There are, however, an unlimited number of visas that may be obtained each year for the following exceptions:
spouses and unmarried minor children of U.S. citizens, and
parents of adult children who are U.S. citizens
Other permanent resident or immigrant visas fall into these two categories.
Family-Sponsored Permanent Visas
If you or an employee whom you know has a relative that would like to immigrate, they may be able to meet the requirements needed to obtain a permanent, family-sponsored, U.S. immigration visa.
Employer-Sponsored Permanent Resident or Immigrant Visas
There are essentially four types of employment-related permanent visas available. They are the EB1, EB2, EB3, and EB4 visas. A fifth type, the EB5, is reserved for foreign investors. Among the first four types, visas are granted according to a person’s skill level.
The EB1 visa group includes workers of extraordinary ability and reputation such as Nobel Prize winners.
The EB2 visa group is comprised of people with advanced degrees, professionals, executives, and others.
The EB3 visa group is made up of bachelor’s degree holders, trade workers, and the unskilled
labor pool.
The EB4 category is reserved for religious workers only.
